Welcome to
the Big D Mobile DJs website. Our goal is to provide a fun atmosphere for
your special event. Although our specialty is wedding receptions, we are
also available for corporate events, school dances, birthday parties and
almost any event you can think of.
Fun yet Professional
If you are looking for a DJ who wears a chicken suit, teaches dances, or
plays games for their guests, then Big D is probably not the service for
you. We know how to have fun, but we also strive for professionalism at
the events we provide entertainment for. Big D provides specialized
consultation with you to make sure your event is perfect. From the initial
consultation until the last song is played for your event, we will make
sure your event is fun and memorable.
Music Selection
The music library contains over 6,000 songs from the classics to the
newest hits. And if you have a special song that’s not in our collection,
we’ll be happy to add it for you. All songs are played from a laptop
computer. Our disc jockeys are very experienced with this technology. And
the best part is that you don’t have to worry about a CD skipping during
your event.
A Little
About Me
I am a 1989 graduate of Grand Valley State University. I have a Bachelor
of Science degree in Journalism with an emphasis in broadcasting and
received professional radio training at GVSU from Grand Rapids radio
legend George "Fine Baby" Arthur. I have worked behind the scenes at WGVU-TV
and WOOD-TV. I began my disc jockey career in 1991 and have worked at
clubs in Muskegon and Grand Rapids. I have performed at wedding receptions
for friends in the past. In 2002, I opened Big D Mobile DJs.
